Mercedes-Benz Trucks delivers 500 trucks to Girteka

Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Girteka have reached an agreement for the delivery of 500 Actros L ProCabin trucks. The delivery of the vehicles is scheduled to take place gradually in 2026. This measure aims to support Girteka’s ongoing fleet renewal and advance the expansion of its long-distance activities in Europe. The agreement is viewed as a contribution to Girteka’s operational growth and the modernization of its fleet.

Pavel Kveten, CEO of Girteka Logistics, emphasizes: “We continue to invest in a disciplined manner with a long-term perspective to strengthen our fleet and the reliability of our services. The Actros L ProCabin cab meets our operational standards for international long-distance transport and enhances efficiency, safety, and driver comfort.” Kveten highlights that the new trucks directly contribute to the company’s mission of transporting temperature-controlled and high-quality cargo efficiently and safely.

Technological Advances in the Actros L ProCabin

The Actros L ProCabin features an optimized cabin architecture specifically designed for improved airflow. Technical adjustments include a vehicle front extended by 80 millimeters and aerodynamically shaped fairing elements. These measures aim to reduce air resistance and support economical operation in long-distance transport.

The vehicles are also equipped with modern assistance systems. The Active Brake Assist uses radar and camera data to detect preceding, stationary, or crossing vehicles and can automatically brake to a standstill within its technical limits. The Active Sideguard Assist 2 monitors the vehicle’s side areas and can warn of objects approaching from the side. If necessary, the system can initiate automated braking when turning on the passenger side. Predictive Powertrain Control utilizes topographical data and route information to promote a forward-looking and efficient driving style.

Digitalization and User-Friendliness

All new vehicles are equipped with the Multimedia Cockpit Interactive, which includes a high-resolution 12-inch instrument display and an optimized touchscreen. This equipment allows for intuitive operation of central vehicle functions, with many functions also adjustable via voice control.

The agreement for the delivery of the Actros L ProCabin trucks coincides with the year of Girteka’s 30th anniversary. Since its founding, the company has evolved from a local provider to one of the largest privately-owned transport service providers in Europe.
