AMG Group reduces customs costs with CSG
Jul 9, 2026 at 8:14 AMDHL has expanded its transpacific air network with a new freight service between Bangkok (Thailand) and Cincinnati (USA). The new service will be offered three times a week and aims to strengthen the connection between Southeast Asia and North America. The flights provide high capacity of up to 100 tons per flight and are complemented by a comprehensive road network in the USA.
With the introduction of the „TransPac Connect“ service, DHL Global Forwarding is responding to the challenges of an increasingly volatile market. The new freight service between BKK and CVG allows customers to better plan their supply chains and offers secured capacity as well as cost transparency. In addition to the connection, expanded coverage in Vietnam (Hanoi) and Taiwan (Taipei) is also offered, improving access to key US hubs such as CVG and Chicago (ORD).
Strengthening network resilience
In a market often characterized by disruptions and fluctuating prices, the new service provides secured main deck capacity and stable schedules. This enables customers to plan their supply chains with greater confidence. The service is particularly aimed at oversized and valuable freight and is supported by continuous operational control.
Henk Venema, Global Head of Air Freight at DHL Global Forwarding, emphasizes the strategic importance of Southeast Asia as a production and sourcing region. „With our new connection between Bangkok and Cincinnati, as well as the expanded coverage of the transpacific network, we are providing our customers not only speed and capacity but also the reliability and control they need to build more resilient supply chains,“ explains Venema.
The „TransPac Connect“ service is part of a broader strategy to manage capacities in the air freight sector and is supported by a wider network that includes Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This includes several weekly rotations over key hubs such as Frankfurt, Liège, Amsterdam, and Hong Kong. These new connections complement the recent expansion of air freight capacities between Asia and Europe and strengthen global trade routes.
Through continuous investments in the dedicated air freight network and leveraging synergies within the DHL Group as well as with airlines, DHL Global Forwarding enables its customers to integrate resilience into their supply chains while maintaining flexibility, cost efficiency, and operational stability.
