Jul 9, 2026 at 10:05 AMVenti Technologies has entered into a long-term trading agreement with a North American intermodal railroad company to introduce AI-powered autonomous vehicles (AV) at multiple terminals in the United States. According to a company statement, this initiative aims to enhance efficiency in freight transport while simultaneously increasing safety standards.
First series deployment in the USA
The agreement stipulates that the railroad company will deploy trucks equipped with Venti’s proprietary precision navigation technology at its fully operational rail yards. This technology includes both software and sensors and components necessary for the operation of autonomous vehicles. The exact terms of the contract have not been disclosed.
The implementation of the technology is set to begin, according to the company, at two of the busiest intermodal terminals in the United States. Venti Technologies plans to install over 100 autonomous container trucks at eight locations of the railroad company by 2027. By the end of the decade, the number of vehicles is expected to increase to over 600. A joint steering committee will oversee the progress of the implementation. Venti Technologies emphasizes that it is the only company outside of China that has practically implemented physical AI-powered autonomy for freight transport in complex logistics environments.
