The early extension of the long-term contract includes the continuation of comprehensive services in the management and maintenance of ULD, as well as the introduction of Jettainer’s latest IoT tracking technology.
The collaboration, which began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and was initially implemented entirely remotely, has successfully evolved over the past years. Following the recovery of global air traffic, Cebu Pacific is experiencing strong growth and operates one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the world with 100 aircraft, including 14 Airbus A330neo. Additionally, the airline is continuously expanding its domestic and international network and is the preferred air freight provider in the Philippines.
Comprehensive services and new technologies
As part of the contract extension, Jettainer will continue to provide a tailored ULD fleet to ensure optimal equipment availability for all Cebu Pacific flights. This will be facilitated through the intelligent IT platform JettwareNG. The agreement also includes access to Jettainer’s latest IoT tracking solution, which combines LoRa and BLE technology with cellular-enabled units that function as mobile readers. By utilizing mesh technology, a dynamic, self-expanding network is created, enhancing visibility, supporting efficient resource utilization, and reducing unnecessary repositioning. This contributes to achieving sustainability goals.
Additionally, Jettainer will deploy a dedicated customer service manager at Cebu Pacific, who will provide on-site operational support and further improve service quality. This role aims to optimize processes and enhance service quality within Cebu Pacific’s growing network.
