Jul 30, 2020 at 7:03 AMThe Danish logistics provider is expanding its air freight charter network to further stabilize the reliability of its air freight services. This has proven effective during the coronavirus crisis. In Germany, routes to and from Mexico and the USA are being added.
(Bremen) To better control freight capacities on key trade routes in the future and continue to ensure reliable transit times, DSV is expanding its air freight charter network.
The DSV air freight charter network utilizes some of the largest airports in the world as well as less congested airports such as Luxembourg, Huntsville (Alabama, USA), and Macao to enable faster ground handling and reduce the risk of delays. DSV also plans and supervises ground handling to ensure short transit times and complete door-to-door control.
“In a time of many uncertainties and flight cancellations due to the coronavirus, our air freight charter network has provided stability to our customers and has proven to be extremely valuable,” explains Mads Ravn, Head of Air Procurement at DSV. “We are pleased that customers can now utilize this premium service on other important trade routes with our recent expansion.”
German Customers Also Benefit
German customers benefit from reliable air freight capacities from Frankfurt Airport to Chicago, Mexico City, and Guadalajara. Furthermore, the connection from Luxembourg/Brussels to New York and Atlanta expands the DSV network. The Danish transport and logistics provider is also strengthening its capacities between China and the USA to add more routes.
The network is ideally suited for the handling of special cargo such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices, microchips, oversized oil and gas installations, hazardous materials, and high-value goods.
DSV collaborates with leading global cargo airlines to expand the network with the following routes:
Macao (Hong Kong) to Mexico City (one way), Frankfurt to Mexico City and Guadalajara (round trip), Frankfurt to Chicago (one way), Hong Kong to Taipei (one way), Taipei to Huntsville (one way), Hong Kong to Seoul (one way), Seoul to Sao Paulo (one way)
