May 28, 2026 at 1:17 PMThe US MRO service provider Ascent Aviation Services has announced the promotion of Tim McGuire to President and Chief Operating Officer. This decision takes effect immediately. McGuire has served as COO for the past four years and has significantly contributed to improving the company’s operational performance in this role. His achievements include increasing productivity and reducing damage.
In his new position, McGuire will continue to oversee the daily operations of Ascent and gradually take on additional corporate functions. These include sales and marketing, contracts, and finance. These transitions are intended to be carefully managed to ensure continuity for employees, customers, and ongoing programs. An example of this is the upcoming program to convert the first Boeing 777-300ER from passenger to freighter aircraft.
Dave Querio, CEO of Ascent, spoke positively about McGuire: “Tim has become a trusted leader within the organization and is a valued partner for our customers, employees, and shareholders.”
Following the transfer of these additional responsibilities, McGuire will take over the daily management of the company, allowing the executive team to focus more on corporate strategies, growth initiatives, shareholder engagement, and the long-term positioning of Ascent.
Current reporting structures will remain unchanged for the time being, and further information will be provided as the transitions take place. Querio added: “Together, we are moving the company forward, growing the business, and increasing the global recognition of the name and brand Ascent Aviation Services.”
Ascent Aviation Services is one of the largest independent providers of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for aircraft worldwide. The company offers comprehensive services, including heavy maintenance, modifications, storage, disassembly, and end-of-life solutions for civilian and military aircraft.
