Jun 25, 2026 at 8:39 AMRaffaele Manna has been appointed as the Managing Director of TVG-Zimsen, a subsidiary of Eimskip. He succeeds Elísa Dögg Moraitis Björnsdóttir, who was recently appointed Executive Vice President for national operations in Iceland at Eimskip.
Manna brings extensive experience from various management and business development positions within the Eimskip group. Most recently, he led the Eimskip Liner Partner Network and was responsible for developing partnerships and transport solutions in international markets. Björn Einarsson, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TVG-Zimsen and Executive Vice President for Sales & Business Operations at Eimskip, spoke positively about Manna’s appointment:

He has deep knowledge of our operations, strong commercial insights, and extensive experience in managing international business relationships. International experience and education
Before his time at Eimskip, Manna worked at TVG-Zimsen in Reykjavík and Rotterdam, where he held positions in customer service and sales before taking on responsibility for international partnerships. During this time, he gained extensive operational and commercial experience and developed a strong understanding of both the Icelandic market and the international transport industry.
Manna was born in Italy and holds a degree in International Relations and Communication from the Università degli Studi di Milano, as well as a diploma in International Business from the University of Reykjavík. He brings around 15 years of experience in freight forwarding as well as air and sea transport. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with partners worldwide, managed complex supply chains, and contributed to the development of efficient and cost-effective transport solutions. Additionally, he is multilingual and has experience in international and multicultural environments.
