Northstarr acquires X2 during a phase of growth
Jun 25, 2026 at 8:46 AMCharterDesk officially celebrated its founding yesterday at the transport logistic/Air Cargo China trade fair. Emir Ozdabak, Managing Director of CharterDesk, stated: “We are proud to announce the official start of a new era in aircraft chartering and leasing.” The company pursues a structured, data-driven approach to capacity procurement, offering its customers faster, more reliable quotes tailored precisely to their needs.
CharterDesk is based in Hungary and provides comprehensive charter solutions for air freight, passengers, private jets, as well as ACMI and leasing services for customers worldwide. The business model is built on more than 25 years of experience in ground handling, airline planning, brokerage, and GSA operations. The company responds to the growing demand for transparent and responsible charter solutions, particularly for time-critical and complex missions.
Growing demand for flexible solutions
The current volatility in supply chains, the growth of e-commerce, gaps in the schedule network, and the increasing need for time-critical and oversized freight are driving demand for ad-hoc charters. At the same time, customers increasingly expect customized solutions and closer attention to their specific requirements, which often proves challenging for large providers. CharterDesk aims to give each charter request the individual attention it requires.
“The reason for chartering is often urgency, where every minute counts. Customers are looking for speed, reliability, and above all, someone who takes full responsibility for the operational side of procuring, organizing, and delivering a solution,” explains Emir Ozdabak. “Today’s processes can appear opaque and complex due to fragmented responsibilities and varying levels of expertise in the chain. We founded CharterDesk to tackle these issues and eliminate complexity by assigning a dedicated senior-level contact to each project.”
CharterDesk’s business model combines access to global operators with a single responsible contact person, structured capacity procurement processes, and uniform quality standards. The location in Hungary allows the company to operate within the legal and regulatory framework of the EU and gain direct access to the European market and operator pool.
In the air freight sector, CharterDesk supports forwarders and logistics providers, manufacturers, and shippers, particularly in the automotive, aviation, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical industries. Humanitarian organizations, government and defense teams, as well as airlines or GSAs needing additional capacity, are also among the customers. The company has access to a variety of freight types, from narrow B737F and B757F for regional charters to wide B767F, B777F, or A330F for long-haul and B747F for oversized shipments.
“We have a clear vision: to become the most trusted and agile charter partner in the market and to redefine how charter capacities are procured, managed, and delivered through expertise, technology, and global reach,” summarizes Emir Ozdabak.
