Saudia Cargo has announced a new partnership with cargo.one to introduce AI-powered workers into its sales operations. These AI workers, based on a specialized operating system from cargo.one, are designed to handle requests for quotes (RFQ) and generate complete offers within seconds. This is expected to significantly reduce response times for customer inquiries and enable Saudia Cargo’s sales teams to focus on more complex shipments and value-added activities.
The introduction of this technology comes against the backdrop of Saudia Cargo receiving a high volume of price inquiries daily as a national air freight provider in Saudi Arabia. Each inquiry requires extensive research on schedules, alternative airports, and service levels. The AI workers from cargo.one now provide Saudia Cargo with an additional sales resource capable of communicating in multiple languages and creating tailored offers in near real-time.
The AI-powered systems from cargo.one are programmed to intelligently classify sales opportunities and track the entire conversation history from the initial inquiry to booking. This allows the AI workers to proactively offer relevant capacity alternatives, including upselling opportunities for premium products. According to cargo.one, these AI workers lead to a 68% reduction in processing time for offers and achieve an accuracy of 89% for the first AI-generated offers.

cargo.one offers various degrees of autonomy for AI workers, ranging from quote generation to fully autonomous functions. The AI workers can also automatically handle routine inquiries and escalate exceptions, with all actions logged and verifiable.
The close collaboration between cargo.one and Saudia Cargo, which has been in place since 2021, aims to develop customer-oriented digital sales strategies and enhance efficiency. The logistics IT service provider cargo.one, based in Berlin, works with leading air and sea freight providers to develop technologies that enhance their competitiveness.
