Apr 20, 2026 at 8:42 AMAUTOFLIGHT has conducted the first transport attempt with an eVTOL aircraft in the 2-ton class in China. The test took place in Guizhou Province, located in the western part of the country. The unmanned, fully autonomous aircraft „CarryAll“ (V2000CG) was used to transport fresh spring tea between the cities of Anshun and Guiyang, as the company reports. These two cities are approximately 120 km apart.
According to the company, the eVTOL aircraft crossed the mountainous terrain in just 37 minutes. This time represents an improvement compared to conventional transport methods on the region’s roads. After the air transport, the tea was further transported by high-speed train from Guiyang to Shanghai, covering a distance of nearly 2,000 km. By combining eVTOL and high-speed train, the tea was delivered on the same day. This allows the harvested tea to reach consumers in the major cities of the east within 24 hours from the remote mountain plantations in western China.
