The Circle Group and the Dario Perioli Group are advancing the 0International Fast and Secure Trade Lanes‘ project (IFSTL), to strengthen digital logistics corridors between Italy and North Africa. The focus is particularly on connections to Tunisia, which are to be expanded through more efficient and interoperable processes.
The project is based on a digital platform that enables the exchange of data and documents along the entire supply chain. This is complemented by real-time monitoring of goods using internet-of-things technologies, as well as closer integration of authorities, terminals and logistics companies.
Following an initial feasibility study, the initiative now focuses on pilot applications for digital document exchange. In the long term, physical inspections and additional technologies will be integrated.
Participants include ports in Italy and Tunisia, as well as customs authorities and shipping lines. The goal is to simplify processes and sustainably improve efficiency along Euro-Mediterranean transport corridors.
