Jan 12, 2026 at 10:55 AMHanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) and Grupo Empresas Navieras (GEN) have reached an agreement regarding the ownership of the Florida International Terminal (FIT). Under this agreement, HGT will be the sole owner of the terminal located in Port Everglades, South Florida, as reported by Hapag-Lloyd.
According to Hapag-Lloyd, the Florida International Terminal at the Port of Port Everglades serves one of the largest consumer markets in the world. The terminal specializes in the handling of containers and general cargo. It offers direct access to highways as well as rail networks. This infrastructure enables efficient inland and intermodal transport logistics and facilitates access to the region’s hinterland, the company states.
