May 10, 2024 at 7:35 PMWhere the Danube flows into the Enns, a new commercial, industrial, and logistics park will soon be established. With the Panattoni Park Ennshafen, Panattoni is already realizing its second project in Austria. In the presence of numerous visitors and honored guests, the real estate developer celebrated the start of construction in Enns with a ceremonial groundbreaking on April 30.
(Hamburg/Enns) The new commercial, industrial, and logistics park in Enns is being built on a plot of approximately 65,000 m² in the Ennshafen industrial area near Linz. With a gross floor area of about 41,000 m², the property is suitable for regional businesses with variably divisible rental units starting from 2,550 m². The Panattoni Park Ennshafen will be optimally connected to several European economic centers via the Rhine-Main-Danube waterway, the rail network through a nearby container terminal, as well as the federal road B1 and the West Autobahn A1.
“We see great economic growth potential in the Enns location,” says Jürgen Winklbauer, Managing Director of Panattoni Austria. “The trimodal connection and the strategically advantageous proximity to major automotive companies are very attractive for businesses of various sizes.”
Upper Austria’s Economic Councilor Markus Achleitner explains: “The Ennshafen industrial area is one of the top locations in Upper Austria. It will be further enhanced by the new Panattoni Park. A crossing 110 kV line complicates the development of the industrial area. Therefore, it is all the more pleasing that Panattoni is making this area usable for the establishment of businesses. Especially companies in the fields of metal and steel processing, food, vehicle manufacturing, chemicals, and transport can benefit from the proximity to Linz and the high-quality spaces.”
Success Story of Collaboration Between Municipality and Project Developer
In the realization, Panattoni implements the latest sustainability standards. The project developer aims for certification according to the DGNB Gold Standard with the project. This also impresses Christian Deleja-Hotko, Mayor of the City of Enns: “The Panattoni Park is a success story of collaboration between the municipal level and the project developer on equal terms. We as the City of Enns set high standards in terms of sustainability and climate protection, which Panattoni meets with its project.”
