May 28, 2026 at 2:03 PMThe Chinese MRO service provider HAECO signed two significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) this week, which strengthen strategic cooperation with Central Airlines and Fly Meta Group. Both partnerships were announced during the inaugural MRO Greater China in Beijing and aim to optimize the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of wide-body freighter fleets.
With Central Airlines, HAECO will develop a long-term partnership to support the Boeing 777 freighter fleet. Key services such as airframe maintenance, engine services, and component maintenance support will be the focus. HAECO will leverage its comprehensive MRO capabilities to enhance the operational reliability and long-term maintenance planning of Central Airlines.
In parallel, the collaboration with Fly Meta Group will enable HAECO to support the global expansion of Fly Meta. In this context, HAECO and Fly Meta will offer key services for the Boeing 747F and 777F fleet, including engine repairs and overhauls through HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen). This partnership aims to improve the operational efficiency of Fly Meta and promote a sustainable growth strategy.
Gerald Steinhoff, Chief Commercial Officer of HAECO, emphasized the importance of these two partnerships: “These MoUs mark crucial steps in the development of sustainable and strategic alliances that position HAECO as a key player in the MRO industry.” Both Liu Qiang from Central Airlines and Helen Chen from Fly Meta highlighted the benefits these collaborations bring to their respective fleets and services.
