This not only fulfills a major wish of its customers but also creates additional value in its Smart Logistics System. The new function is subject to conditions to ensure fairness.
“In private life, we hardly make a purchasing decision without first looking at the ratings of other customers. Our customers can now also consider the opinions of third parties when selecting their business partners,” says Gunnar Gburek, Head of Business Affairs at TIMOCOM.
Payment Terms Allow for Long Rating Periods
In principle, any user can rate their business partners as long as they are in contact with them through the Transport Orders application. The function is activated once the transport is completed, meaning the goods have been unloaded. Business partners can rate each other up to 104 days after unloading. “Given the long payment terms in logistics, we provide our customers with a corresponding time window for mutual evaluation,” explains Gburek. “After all, the payment factor is fundamental to the satisfaction of the transport service provider.” Now, system users can have their quality and reliability confirmed by their business partners. And those looking for new business partners can incorporate the experiences of other companies into their decision-making. “We are curious to see how our customers will respond to the new function,” says Gburek.
