Jun 11, 2020 at 6:45 AMThe globally active full-service provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is expanding its location in the Leipzig / Halle region and is moving into a new hall facility of approximately 2000 sqm in Kabelsketal.
(Osnabrück) With the move from the previous location in Krostitz to larger transshipment halls, Hellmann is responding to the acquisition of renowned customers, particularly from the automotive and agricultural sectors in the Night Star Express segment.
The new KEP branch in Kabelsketal is strategically located near the A 9 / A 14 highway interchange and in close proximity to the Star Park Halle industrial area, where Hellmann has been represented since 2016 with a large contract logistics location. In addition to the central and well-connected location, the new transshipment halls in Kabelsketal also offer a modern hall layout, thus aligning with the company’s future-oriented positioning.
30 Years in the Halle/Leipzig Area
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has been present in the Leipzig / Halle metropolitan area for 30 years and today offers all logistical services from various locations in the region – from land transport to air and sea freight, as well as contract logistics. With the new transshipment warehouse in Kabelsketal, the company now has sufficient capacity to sustainably expand its regional KEP business. The strategic focus here is particularly on customers from the pharmaceutical industry as well as the machinery spare parts and automotive sectors.
“We continue to focus on growth in the Leipzig / Halle economic area. I am therefore very pleased that we have created the spatial conditions for this with our new location in Kabelsketal. In light of our desire to continue growing, especially in our core business areas of automotive and spare parts logistics, the proximity to the Star Park Halle industrial area is of particular strategic importance to us,” said Matthias Magnor, Chief Operating Officer Road & Rail, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
