Transcosmos has announced the launch of „trans-scManager,“ a solution designed to help companies manage supply and demand more efficiently and optimize their planning processes. According to the company, this development occurs in the context of increasing complexity in product inventory management, driven by changing consumer needs and shortened product life cycles.
Optimization of inventory
The „trans-scManager“ aims to assist companies in adjusting their inventory levels. This is achieved through the analysis of PSI information (production, sales, and inventory information) as well as the use of demand forecasts and inventory replenishment strategies. According to Transcosmos, inventory management is often dependent on the experience of individual employees, which can lead to inefficiencies. The solution is intended to address these challenges.
Transcosmos has already offered services in the area of order management, encompassing aspects such as order entry, inventory reservation, and shipping. By combining these existing services with the new „trans-scManager,“ a more comprehensive support for companies is to be created. The solution enables, according to the company, the forecasting of demand based on historical shipping data and the assessment of the balance between supply and demand. Additionally, optimal inventory replenishment levels are to be identified.
