Jul 2, 2026 at 9:20 AMGEODIS has received the IATA CEIV Pharma certification for its facility in Hyderabad, India. This certification demonstrates the company’s ability to handle pharmaceutical and medical shipments according to international standards. With this step, GEODIS aims to expand its logistics capabilities in healthcare and its network of CEIV-certified facilities worldwide, according to a statement.
The IATA Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Pharma certification is, according to the company, a significant milestone for GEODIS, as it confirms the quality and safety of healthcare logistics in one of India’s leading life science centers. The certification includes an assessment of operational processes, infrastructure, and personnel to ensure that all requirements for handling pharmaceutical products are met.
Logistics requirements
As part of the certification, a review of quality management systems, operational procedures, and risk management practices is conducted. Additionally, employee training, temperature control capabilities, and compliance with regulatory requirements are evaluated. „This certification enhances our ability to support customers who are increasingly transporting complex and temperature-sensitive healthcare products to global markets,“ said Chris Cahill, Managing Director for the Middle East and India Subcontinent, GEODIS.
