These strategic personnel decisions aim to enhance the tailored solutions of the company’s contract logistics, transportation, and freight forwarding divisions. By strengthening expertise in areas such as sustainability and focusing on continuous improvement and technology, GEODIS intends to accelerate growth and simplify the supply chain for its customers in the Americas.
Laura Ritchey (photo), President and CEO of GEODIS in the Americas, stated: “We are strategically investing in the structure of how we serve our customers and how we grow.” The establishment of a dedicated organization for customer experience and the recruitment of leadership talent are intended to demonstrate that the company operates closely with its customers and acts proactively.
New leadership positions
Quadiru (Quad) Kent has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources Officer at GEODIS in the Americas. Previously, he served as Vice President of Global Human Resources at American Airlines, where he was responsible for the HR strategy for over 130,000 employees. With his extensive experience in human resources leadership at Walmart and Tenet Healthcare, along with his legal background, Kent brings a unique perspective to further develop talent and corporate culture in the region.
Ganesh Nayakwadi has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. He brings extensive experience in financial leadership, most recently serving as CFO of Amrize Building Envelope. Prior to that, he was CFO at Holcim Building Envelope for nearly four years, where he managed a business with a volume of approximately $4 billion, and he had a six-year tenure at Bridgestone Americas. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in managing several billion-dollar business segments as well as significant M&A activities.
Rob Greene will serve as Executive Vice President for Transportation. With over 25 years of industry experience, Greene most recently held the position of President and EVP for North America at DSV. His career encompasses all levels of the industry, from freight forwarder to regional president. He brings deep operational insights to GEODIS and has a proven track record of achieving significant revenue growth and maintaining high customer retention rates through organizational integration.
Hector Garcia will be Vice President for Sustainability, bringing over 20 years of experience in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S). Most recently, he served as North American Director for EHS and Sustainability at Del Monte Foods, where he led complex ESG initiatives in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors. Garcia holds an MBA, a Master of Science in Management, and a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Customer experience organization
To further optimize the customer experience approach, GEODIS in the Americas is consolidating various touchpoints into a new organization that reports directly to the CEO. The areas of Account Management, Data and Analytics, Digital Twins, and Continuous Improvement will be unified under a single leadership. This organization aims to simplify the customer journey and develop proactive and innovative solutions for supply chain challenges.
Nura Kruciak has been promoted to lead this organization and reports directly to Ritchey. Kruciak has proven herself as a leader at GEODIS in the Americas and possesses extensive operational and commercial expertise, having previously achieved strong results in earlier operational and strategic roles.
