ADV welcomes EU jet fuel measures
Apr 24, 2026 at 7:43 AMThe Damen Shipyards Group and Associated British Ports (ABP) have signed a contract for the construction of a new trailing suction grab hopper dredger. This agreement, concluded through ABP’s subsidiary UK Dredging (UKD), marks a step in the long-standing collaboration between the two companies and contributes to the expansion of UKD’s capabilities, as Damen reports.
UKD is responsible for providing dredging services in ports and waterways across the United Kingdom. The new dredger will play a role in maintaining navigation depths, thereby ensuring access for vessels to ABP ports. Last year, Damen already delivered the dredger „UKD Seadragon,“ a Shoalbuster „2711 WID,“ to the company.
