The pilot project is integrated into its ‚FirstTrac‘ platform and reduces inventory processing time by approximately 60%.
The system replaces manual data entry with mobile applications that capture relevant tyre data directly using computer vision and OCR. Employees use smartphones or tablets to read barcodes and serial numbers. This reduces error rates by up to 90%, while data quality increases to over 99%.
Productivity also measurably increases, as more units can be processed per hour. At the same time, inventory and shipments are updated in real-time, improving transparency for customers.
The pilot project serves as a foundation for a worldwide rollout in the company. Additional locations will follow, in order to standardise processes and reduce paper-based workflows.
