Apr 16, 2026 at 7:23 AMSmart Freight Centre (SFC) and the British International Freight Association (BIFA) have launched a partnership aimed at offering discounted training programs on emissions reporting to British freight forwarders. This initiative is intended to assist BIFA members in navigating the complex requirements of emissions reporting, as the companies state.
Training programs for freight forwarders
As part of the „SFC Academy,“ BIFA members will gain access to specialized, discounted training led by professionals, according to the companies. The training focuses on three key topics: the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) Framework, market-based measurement mechanisms, and the electrification of road freight transport. The goal of these courses is to equip freight forwarders with the necessary knowledge to advance the decarbonization of their activities. The partnership between SFC and BIFA responds, according to their statements, to the increasing demand for actionable guidelines for freight forwarders.
