Heathrow crucial for British trade
Apr 14, 2026 at 12:18 PMThe Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) reports a significant increase in operators complying with the Parking Security Requirements (PSR) standard for truck parking. Compared to the previous year, the number of operators in 17 European countries has increased by over 150%. This standard was developed by manufacturers, insurers, and logistics providers to ensure the safety of drivers, cargo, and vehicles, as reported by TAPA.
The PSR standard is designed to help parking operators demonstrate their security measures to users. At the same time, it provides a database that allows freight transport and logistics companies to identify safe parking areas, according to the association.
Expansion of the network
Additionally, the PSR standard supports TAPA EMEA’s parking and awareness campaign aimed at improving driving safety and supply chain security. As part of this initiative, the association plans for member companies to participate in approximately 50,000 free „Safety and Awareness Driver Training“ sessions in 2026.
