Jun 26, 2026 at 8:23 AMEtihad Cargo, the freight division of Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi (UAE), has expanded its digital customer platform and now offers five additional languages on its website. This enables customers in key global markets to interact in their preferred language. The new languages include Japanese, German, Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic. The expansion aims to enhance accessibility and user-friendliness for international customers.
Enhanced features for an improved user experience
In addition to the language expansion, Etihad Cargo has also introduced various digital tools that simplify shipment management and increase real-time transparency on the customer portal. New features include the ability for customers to independently update and manage bookings, reducing manual interventions and increasing efficiency.
Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer of Etihad Airways, emphasizes: “Improving the customer experience is at the heart of Etihad Cargo’s digital strategy. We continuously invest in tools and capabilities that make it easier for our customers to do business with us faster and more intuitively.” These developments are part of a broader digital strategy that also includes the SmartTrack solution, which aims to provide greater transparency, control, and connectivity throughout the shipping process.
The new features also include the option to select a preferred shipping time, allowing users to better align bookings with specific departure times. Additionally, new sub-statuses for shipments provide more transparency and insights into the progress of cargo at every stage.
Additional updates include local timestamps in booking periods to ensure greater clarity and consistency when tracking shipments across different time zones. Improvements in user management offer a faster and more intuitive administrative experience, while the updated booking management allows customers to independently update and manage bookings, including those made for instant quotes and spot rates.
These latest developments are part of Etihad Cargo’s ongoing investments in digital innovations aimed at simplifying customer interactions, increasing operational efficiency, and providing a seamless end-to-end cargo experience. This supports Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global logistics hub and reaffirms its commitment to offering customers worldwide smarter, connected, and increasingly self-service digital solutions.
