Jun 11, 2026 at 11:14 AMThe Berlin-based start-up NexDash has announced the acquisition of March Transporte, located in Rheinbach, North Rhine-Westphalia. The integration of the company, which has 20 years of experience, into the NexDash group is expected to be completed by July 2026. March Transporte, which operates a fleet of 26 trucks, will continue to be led by its founder Marco March as managing director. The existing employees, location, and customer relationships will remain unchanged.
The acquisition is part of a comprehensive consolidation strategy by NexDash aimed at strengthening the fragmented German mid-market in the transport sector. March Transporte currently generates an annual recurring revenue of approximately EUR 6.5 million and aims to grow to EUR 10 million by the end of 2026. This growth is to be achieved through organic growth as well as the implementation of the proprietary AI operating system NexOS.
Strategic direction in the transport sector
NexDash aims to leverage the fragmentation of the German road transport market with its Neo-Carrier concept. Over 90% of operators in this sector have fewer than ten vehicles and often operate outdated diesel fleets. NexDash’s strategy includes consolidating established operators, electrifying their fleets, and managing them through an intelligent operating system. This approach is divided into four phases: consolidation, electrification, digitalization, and autonomy.
Michael Cassau, founder and CEO of NexDash, commented on the acquisition, emphasizing the importance of March Transporte as an example of the desired business model. „This is a healthy, well-managed company with deep customer relationships – exactly the type of business that has not been adequately served by the available technology and capital,“ Cassau explained. He highlighted that consolidation and the use of intelligent systems are not separate strategies but part of a unified approach.
Technological innovation and growth potential
The acquisition activates the complete operational concept of NexDash for the fleet. This includes the introduction of NexOS, which optimizes route planning, capacity utilization, and energy consumption, transforming operations into a data-driven network. Additionally, NexDash plans a gradual transition to electric vehicles, with the first electric trucks expected to be operational in the second half of 2026. Through consolidation, smaller operators are expected to benefit from purchasing advantages and technologies that were previously only accessible to larger companies.
NexDash is supported by Extantia Capital, Clean Energy Ventures, Platform Horizons, and Magnetic Capital, which focus on companies in the climate and deep technology sectors. The acquisition of March Transporte represents the first step in an active acquisition pipeline as NexDash works towards becoming the operational layer for European freight transport.
