Magma Aviation expands sustainability efforts
Apr 20, 2026 at 11:18 AMHZ Logistics, an established logistics provider with time-critical and temperature-controlled transport solutions, amongst others, has implemented a driver-monitoring system from Durite, a leading vehicle safety company, to enhance safety and working conditions in road transport. The solution is based on AI-supported in-cab technology and aims to detect fatigue and distraction at an early stage.
The system analyses eye movements, a lack of attentiveness and mobile phone usage, amongst other things. If critical behaviour is detected, the driver receives immediate visual and auditory warnings. The goal is to reduce risks at the outset and prevent accidents.
The international company is thus focusing on preventive measures rather than on reactive intervention. In addition to increased safety, HZ Logistics also expects operational benefits, such as reduced downtime, fewer disruptions in processes and better fleet utilisation.
The implementation is part of a broader strategy that combines technology with training and driver support. At the same time, the system meets relevant industry standards and contributes to compliance with regulatory requirements.
