Apr 8, 2026 at 7:33 AMGlobe Air Cargo Dominican Republic has signed an agreement with the Panamanian cargo airline Uniworld Air Cargo to support the launch of cargo flights between Punta Cana (PUJ) and Panama City (PTY). This new connection was inaugurated on March 23, 2026, and is scheduled to operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, using a Boeing 737F. The estimated weekly capacity is 40 tons. The service caters to a variety of goods, including general cargo, live animals, perishable goods, and oversized items.
Expanded Connections in Latin America
By connecting to PTY, the new service opens access to key destinations such as Bogotá (Colombia), Caracas (Venezuela), Havana (Cuba), San Salvador (El Salvador), Lima (Peru), and San José (Costa Rica). Additionally, improved routing options through the Mexican capital airport NLU are created, providing further access opportunities to the USA and Canada.
The partnership between Globe Air Cargo and Uniworld Air Cargo enhances the ECS Group’s ability to quickly provide tailored cargo solutions.
