BGL Welcomes Dismissal of Lawsuits Against the EU Mobility Package
Oct 4, 2024 at 6:27 PMJust before the start of EXPO REAL, one of the most important real estate fairs in Europe, it is clear: Panattoni defends its top position among the leading developers of logistics properties in Germany for the third time. In the study “Logistics and Real Estate” by the analysis firm bulwiengesa for the year 2024, the project developer once again takes first place.
(Hamburg/Munich) That Panattoni is not resting on this success but has big plans for the future is demonstrated by the company from October 7 to 9 in Hall A3 at Stand 310 at EXPO REAL in Munich. For the study “Logistics and Real Estate,” the analysis firm bulwiengesa evaluated the nationwide market for the period from 2019 to 2024. Panattoni leads the ranking with more than 1.98 million m² of completed and projected logistics space. This places the Hamburg-based company significantly ahead of the competition – the second place achieves less than 1.8 million m² of space. For 2024, Germany’s largest project developer forecasts the completion of over 326,000 m² of usable space for the logistics, industrial, and commercial market. Currently, 17 projects are underway nationwide.
The framework for the future is already in place: Over the next three years, Panattoni has projects with a total area of 1.5 million m² in the pipeline. Also, away from the construction sites, Panattoni is not standing still. For example, the project developer has secured a re-letting for a former build-to-suit development in Düren with the company Clic Trade for a usable area of over 16,000 m².
“We are very happy to confirm our team’s performance at Panattoni in Germany based on the results of the current bulwiengesa study, as it is the tireless collective effort that drives us every day to be one of the best developers,” says Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni Germany and Austria. “We want to make an important contribution to meeting the future demand for logistics, industrial, and commercial properties in Germany. Against this background, we are all the more looking forward to exchanging ideas with our partners, customers, and market companions at EXPO REAL about the latest developments, innovations, and solutions in the real estate industry.”
Panattoni presents its internationally realized high-quality and sustainably constructed real estate solutions at the international trade fair for real estate and investments with 16 countries. Special attention is paid to the role that project developers can play in the future-proof development of cities.
How Historical Sites Are Revitalized
Using the example of Cologne, Europe’s largest developer of logistics, industrial, and commercial properties shows how inner-city historical sites can be revitalized. In addition to the revitalization of the former Ford plant site in Cologne-Niehl, a brownfield in Cologne-Westhoven and in Bornheim are being repurposed for new commercial use. All three projects are part of Panattoni’s efforts to reduce the sealing of new areas. With over 2.63 million m² of revitalized brownfields in Germany, Panattoni is one of the most experienced brownfield developers in the country.
