Apr 4, 2024 at 6:58 PMAfter finishing second last year, Geis Bischoff Logistics in Lichtenfels, now based in Ebersdorf since the end of 2023, is at the top of the podium for the first time in the IDS Quality Ranking 2023. The silver medal goes to last year’s third place, Hans Geis GmbH + Co KG, Kürnach. And after three years back on the podium, DSV Lahr takes third place. The “Rising Star of the Year” is the Noerpel depot in Heidenheim, which improved 28 places to reach fifth place.
(Kleinostheim) “Closing the old location in Lichtenfels as the winner makes us very proud. At the same time, we take this outstanding result as a challenge for ourselves at our new location in Ebersdorf,” said Jörg Krasulsky, Head of Logistics at Geis Bischoff Logistics GmbH Lichtenfels. “Our consistent quality management and continuous efforts to deliver the best possible performance every day, regularly reviewing all processes, and of course continuously qualifying our employees, are reflected in this result.”
Silver for Geis Kürnach, Bronze for DSV Lahr
For years, Hans Geis GmbH & Co. KG, Kürnach, has been among the top-ranked in the IDS Quality Ranking. With their second place, the Unterfranken once again confirm their consistently high quality performance. DSV Lahr moved from eighth place last year to the podium. The Schwarzwälder scored points across all areas and were rewarded with third place. Special recognition also goes to the rising star, the young Noerpel depot in Heidenheim, which started in early 2022 and has shown what it is capable of after overcoming initial hurdles in the past year.
IDS Continues to Improve Quality at a High Level
Across all IDS depots, the largest German groupage cooperation was able to further improve the relevant quality factors. “This is especially true for our premium products such as express shipments. Throughout 2023, we demonstrated consistently high quality performance, which remained stable even during peaks in the spring business,” says IDS Managing Director Michael Bargl. To determine the quality winner, IDS annually evaluates the service quality of its partner depots. This includes adherence to delivery promises upon shipment receipt, completeness of scanning, results of regular quality audits, and the delivery quality of express shipments.
