Dec 21, 2022 at 1:45 PMThe French logistics provider GEODIS has signed an agreement to acquire trans-o-flex, a leading company in the premium express sector in Germany, specializing in temperature-controlled transport of pharmaceutical products as well as timely delivery of products for the cosmetics and high-tech industries.
(Paris/Weinheim) Since 2016, trans-o-flex has been owned by the Schoeller and Amberger families, who have invested to develop it into a leading specialized distribution company.

To achieve this, we have agreed with Christoph Schoeller, currently Chairman of the Advisory Board, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and shareholder of trans-o-flex, that he will remain Deputy Chairman of the new Supervisory Board under my chairmanship.”
Largest temperature-controlled network in Germany
trans-o-flex was founded in 1971 and operates Germany’s largest temperature-controlled distribution network, specializing in healthcare and handling both packages and pallets. Trans-o-flex is headquartered in Germany and has recently expanded its operations to Austria, providing opportunities for further developments. Trans-o-flex employs around 2,000 people at 77 hubs and local offices, enabling the company to offer express logistics solutions throughout Germany.
Recognized quality network
Christoph Schoeller and Peter Amberger, representatives of the shareholders, said: “Since we acquired trans-o-flex in 2016, the company has further strengthened its leading position in temperature-controlled healthcare and premium express shipping throughout Germany and Austria through its widely recognized quality network and high reliability. International expansion

The completion of this transaction will be effective upon the completion of the usual regulatory approvals.
