Saudia Cargo orders four Boeing 777-200 freighters
Jul 7, 2026 at 9:07 AMPSA Vietnam and Lach Huyen International Logistics & Industrial Park (LHF) are jointly developing four deep-sea container berths at the Lach Huyen port in Hai Phong, northern Vietnam: A corresponding agreement has been signed in this regard, as PSA reports. The first two berths are expected to be constructed by the end of 2026, with completion planned for 2028. The development of the remaining two berths will take place in a later phase, with full completion scheduled by 2035.
Strategic Importance for the Region
Nelson Quek, Regional Head of PSA International for Southeast Asia, emphasizes Vietnam’s dynamic economic development and the project’s role in this context: “Vietnam is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia, and this project underscores PSA’s long-term commitment to this market,” Quek stated.
The expansion of the existing network with a strategic deep-sea port in Lach Huyen is seen by Quek as a crucial step towards improving regional and global supply chains. According to him, PSA and LHF aim to create a hub that generates added value for customers.
