Ministerial visit to Thessaloniki
Jun 12, 2026 at 8:49 AMOn construction sites, operating yards, and along transport routes, containers are often the first point of contact for the storage of goods, tools, and machinery. However, these containers are often inadequately protected against theft and vandalism, which can lead to significant financial losses. To address this issue, ABUS August Bremicker Söhne KG has developed a new solution: the ABUS ConHasp 205.
Flexible security solution for containers
The ABUS ConHasp 205 has been specifically designed for securing rental and swap containers. It can be attached to the container’s door rods without drilling or screwing, making it particularly suitable for temporarily used containers. Simon Schumacher, product manager at ABUS, explains: “Containers often need to be secured quickly and easily in everyday life – without extensive installation effort and without interfering with the structure.” This flexibility allows users to easily remove the lock when needed and use it again at another location.
Robust construction for demanding conditions
The container lock is designed for containers with a rod spacing of 225 to 480 mm and can be used both indoors and outdoors. A special design ensures that the lock provides protection even if a container rod is cut through. The use of durable steel, combined with galvanization and powder coating, ensures a robust construction that withstands difficult conditions. The ConHasp 205 is also compatible with ABUS padlocks GRANIT 37/55HB38 and 83/60-5 Rock, with a padlock featuring a fully removable shackle required. In addition to the version without a padlock, models with a matching padlock are also available.
The introduction of the ABUS ConHasp 205 represents a step towards improved security for containers used in various areas. The ability to use the lock flexibly could help enhance the security of valuable goods and minimize potential losses due to theft or vandalism.
