Jun 10, 2026 at 9:50 AMChapman Freeborn has received approval under the Joint Certification Program (JCP), which is managed by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and jointly overseen by the U.S. Department of Defense and the Canadian Department of National Defence. This certification enhances the company’s ability to support programs in government, defense, aerospace, and strategic mobility that involve controlled technical data in operationally sensitive environments. Additionally, it improves the company’s capacity to leverage global opportunities related to requirements from U.S., NATO, and other allied government and defense contracts.
Strengthening compliance and operational frameworks
Aniko Mersek, President of Chapman Freeborn Americas, commented on the significance of this certification: “As governments and allied organizations in the U.S., EU, and NATO continue to invest in defense readiness, resilient logistics, and the expansion of the industrial base, Chapman Freeborn is enhancing the compliance and operational frameworks necessary to meet the evolving demands of government and strategic mobility.” The DLA-JCP certification is an important step in this process and strengthens the company’s position as a trusted commercial partner for complex, operationally sensitive aviation programs.
The approval complements Chapman Freeborn’s existing infrastructure for government contracts, including an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and progress toward Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0. Furthermore, the company holds a contract under the General Services Administration Multiple Award Schedule (GSA-MAS), which supports U.S. government procurement activities for passenger air transport. The company’s broader compliance framework also includes a code of conduct, a compliance policy, an ESG policy, and global procedures for supplier vetting, including checks for sanctioned parties and blacklists in the aviation sector.
Focus on logistical readiness and strategic mobility
Cam Bolton Wilson (photo), Vice President for Government and Humanitarian Aid at Chapman Freeborn, emphasized the relevance of current political initiatives:
“Current political initiatives in the U.S., EU, and NATO increasingly highlight the importance of logistical readiness, distributed operational capabilities, and resilient transport infrastructure that can support strategic mobility, emergency operations, and government-directed humanitarian assistance as well as disaster relief (HA/DR) in geographically diverse operational environments.”
This certification enhances Chapman Freeborn’s ability to adapt to these requirements and support programs where operational agility, compliance, and the status as a trusted partner are critical to supporting, moving, augmenting, supplying, and sustaining forces.
