ThPA S.A. is participating in the international shipping exhibition Posidonia 2026 in Athens, which is considered a meeting point for the maritime industry, as the company reports. The event brings together numerous professionals, shipping companies, port representatives, as well as technology and logistics service providers from around the world, highlighting Greek ports in the context of global developments.
Modernization of the port
During the exhibition, ThPA S.A. held discussions with representatives of the international shipping and port industry. The aim of these meetings was to exchange views on current developments aimed at optimizing ports and supply chains. ThPA S.A. particularly emphasizes its interest in the modernization of the Port of Thessaloniki, which is expected to create new opportunities for the region.
Participation in Posidonia 2026 coincides with an investment program for the port. ThPA S.A. is implementing the largest investment project in the history of the port, which includes the expansion project of Pier 6. This project is intended to increase the port’s capacity and strengthen its international competitiveness. Furthermore, the port expects that it will enable the operation of mainline vessels and further establish Thessaloniki as an important hub for trade and logistics activities in Southeast and Central Europe.
