Jun 8, 2026 at 8:02 AMGXO Logistics, a provider of contract logistics, has appointed Roberto Pascual as Managing Director for Spain and Portugal. In this role, Pascual will be responsible for enhancing customer focus, driving vertical growth, and implementing advanced automation technologies. He reports to Paul Mohan, President of GXO for Continental Europe, and is based in Madrid.
Experience and goals of the new Managing Director
Paul Mohan commented on Pascual’s appointment, emphasizing that it marks a new chapter in the pursuit of operational excellence and commercial expansion. Pascual brings over 25 years of experience in contract logistics, most recently serving as Managing Director at DHL Supply Chain for Spain and Portugal. His extensive knowledge of key vertical markets and strong operational background are expected to support GXO in accelerating growth in the Iberian region.
Pascual’s appointment follows a period of stable growth under the leadership of Rui Marques, who served as Managing Director for the Iberian region for more than two decades. During his tenure, Marques led GXO to become one of the leading contract logistics providers in Spain and Portugal. The company experienced continuous double-digit growth and established strong, long-term partnerships with prominent clients.
Change in corporate leadership
Marques will now take on a new role within the group, leading one of GXO’s global key accounts. In this strategic position, he will leverage his extensive experience to promote operational excellence and further enhance customer value on a global scale.
