Arends becomes Hershey’s Chief Supply Chain Officer
Jun 3, 2026 at 1:10 PMThe Finnish technology company Flovi has commenced its operations in Spain, one of the most significant vehicle markets in Europe. The market is characterized by a large used car sector, extensive leasing fleets, and a substantial rental car sector heavily influenced by tourism. Despite its size, the market remains fragmented and is still heavily reliant on manual processes.
Aapeli Kallunki (left), CEO of Flovi, emphasizes: “The European vehicle logistics market has a volume of several billion euros. Despite its size, the market in many areas, such as Spain, continues to rely heavily on manual and local processes. We are building the digital infrastructure that brings efficiency, transparency, and reliability to this digitally underdeveloped market.”
With a revenue of approximately €17 million and over 160,000 vehicle transfers completed, covering nearly 35 million kilometers, Flovi has established itself as one of the fastest-growing platforms for vehicle logistics in Europe and has a proven ability to quickly penetrate new markets and ramp up operations. In addition to the new Spanish market, Flovi is already active in Finland, Sweden, and Poland, where the company commenced operations last fall.
Expansion into the Spanish market
The speed at which Flovi is expanding in Europe is highlighted as one of the company’s key differentiators. This enables Flovi to grow rapidly on the continent and lay the foundation for a pan-European vehicle logistics platform. Kallunki expresses gratitude for his exceptional team, which is implementing the strategy and successfully expanding operations in multiple markets.
Flovi is bringing an AI-powered logistics platform to the Spanish market, allowing car dealers, rental and leasing companies, and car-sharing providers to manage and optimize vehicle transfers more efficiently and transparently. As a logistics partner, Flovi supports local operators in expanding their reach and scaling more effectively.
The platform connects vehicle transport companies and driver partners in a single network that automates pricing, route planning, and scheduling. A key selling point in Spain is reliability: Flovi promises a 100% delivery guarantee. In practice, this means that orders are placed with transparent pricing, accepted immediately, and every assignment is fulfilled by a driver partner—without manual coordination.
Enrique García-Comas (right), the newly appointed Country Manager for Spain, highlights:
“User-friendliness, speed, and a seamless service experience are becoming increasingly important in the automotive industry, where just-in-time logistics solutions are at the heart of the sector’s future. Flovi’s entry into Spain comes at the right time. We have already secured our first customers, indicating strong demand for Flovi’s platform in Spain.”
García-Comas brings over 20 years of experience in the automotive sector and previously led the operations of Driiveme in Spain, where he developed the company into one of the leading players in the market. This experience provides the necessary market vision and operational expertise that Flovi needs for its entry into Spain. He is currently working on assembling a team of industry professionals for Flovi Spain.
The expansion is part of Flovi’s broader ambition to become the leading platform for vehicle logistics in Europe. By attracting top talent and scaling rapidly, the company aims to operate in ten European markets by 2028. As the platform scales, the network effects in the markets will make the service more efficient and competitive.
