The Britannia Group has announced changes to its leadership team aimed at positioning the global transport insurer for future growth. Effective June 1, 2026, Helen Todd will be appointed Chief Underwriting Officer, while Simon Williams will take on the role of Chief Commercial Officer. These restructuring efforts follow the appointment of Mike Hall as CEO in January 2023 and are part of the company’s global strategy for business development in specific sectors and markets.
Todd joined the Britannia Group in 2018 and has served as Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer since 2024. With over 20 years of experience in P&I insurance, she will lead the global underwriting function in her new role and will be responsible for underwriting strategy and portfolio oversight. Williams, who joined the Britannia Group in 2017 and was promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer in 2022, will work closely with Hall to drive the implementation of the corporate strategy. These changes reflect the leadership team’s commitment to building a more commercially oriented business aimed at profitably increasing market share and further solidifying the Club’s already strong financial position.
Hall commented on the new appointments: „The Britannia Group is pleased to name Helen as our Chief Underwriting Officer and Simon as CCO.
