May 4, 2026 at 1:36 PMThe Changi Airport Group (CAG), the operator of Singapore Airport, and Shenzhen S.F. Taisen Holding (SF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that establishes strategic cooperation for the development of SF’s first overseas hub at Changi Airport in the Southeast Asian city-state. This partnership aims to strengthen the airport’s position as an air logistics and transshipment center for the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
Expansion of air freight services
The five-year MoU represents a long-term commitment from SF to Singapore and is intended to deepen the airport’s role as a value-adding air logistics center. This will be achieved by supporting the transport of high-value goods and adapting to the changing demands of regional and international supply chains. The partnership will leverage Singapore’s strategic location and the function of Changi Airport as a global consolidation and transshipment center.
Under the agreement, Changi Airport will serve as SF’s first overseas hub, covering regions such as Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Oceania. The collaboration aims to gradually enhance connectivity with key markets in these regions and expand capacities for express freight traffic at Changi Airport.
SF Group is the largest integrated logistics service provider in China and Asia, as well as the fourth largest globally. Its subsidiary, SF Airlines, is China’s largest cargo airline with a fleet of over 90 freighters and currently offers daily cargo flights between Singapore and Shenzhen.
Changi Airport hosts significant express service providers such as DHL Express, FedEx Express, and UPS. With these leading companies operating regional hubs in Singapore, the airport offers a competitive, resilient, and well-connected express ecosystem that supports the fast and reliable transport of goods and documents between Singapore and key markets in the Asia-Pacific region as well as worldwide.
