Apr 27, 2026 at 10:21 AMThe Noida International Airport (NIA) has announced a change in leadership, necessitated by a regulatory directive from the Indian Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). This regulation states that the Chief Executive Officer of an airport in India must be an Indian citizen. Consequently, Nitu Samra has been appointed as the interim Chief Executive Officer effective immediately, until a formal selection process is completed by the board, as reported by the online portal News18.
Nitu Samra will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on an interim basis. According to a statement from the NIA, she will hold this position until the board concludes its search for a permanent successor. Samra has been serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the airport since October 2021 and has played a role in financial management, governance, and strategic planning for the airport.
