Qatar Airways Cargo expands flight offerings
Apr 17, 2026 at 7:54 AMThe Dutch vehicle authority RDW has approved Telepass as a provider for the new truck toll, which will start on July 1, 2026. This makes the Italian company the second service provider to have fully completed the approval process for the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS).
Telepass provides On-Board Units that record the kilometers driven. From the introduction of the toll, all trucks in the Netherlands must be equipped with such devices. In addition to Telepass, TotalEnergies is also approved, with more providers expected to follow.
With this approval, Telepass expands its network to 19 countries. The company sees this as an important step for European interoperability in toll systems.
The new truck toll applies to almost all highways as well as selected secondary roads. A portion of the revenue is intended to flow into sustainable transport solutions such as electric trucks and charging infrastructure.
