Jun 1, 2026 at 11:57 AMAt the Choose France summit, Amazon announced the opening of three new logistics sites in the regions of Pays de la Loire, Île-de-France, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine. These new facilities, along with an already planned logistics center in Ensisheim, represent a total investment of over 400 million euros and are expected to create more than 3,000 permanent jobs, according to the company.
Investment strategy in France
This announcement is part of Amazon’s plan to invest more than 15 billion euros in France by 2028. The goal is to create a total of over 8,000 new jobs. According to the company, the new logistics sites are intended not only to provide jobs but also to generate local business opportunities and tax revenues for the communities in which Amazon operates.
One example that Amazon cites for the impact of such investments is the logistics center in Augny, located near Metz. Within a year, 4,000 new jobs were created there, making Amazon the largest private employer in Moselle. In 2023, the company also made local tax payments amounting to 2.5 million euros.
