This includes the procurement of various materials, such as IT equipment, personal protective equipment, lubricants, and manufacturing machines. The JAGGAER platform accompanies the entire Procure-to-Order process, starting with demand identification and supplier selection to request for quotation and ordering. By centralizing procurement requirements, structured management is enabled, which is fully digitally represented. This aims to increase transparency and make approval processes more efficient. Standardized workflows and automated requests are intended to relieve buyers.
Support through Artificial Intelligence
A smooth transition to the new system is facilitated by JAGGAER’s user-friendly interface. To ease the transition to the platform for employees, JAGGAER One offers a feature called „Guided Buying.“ This solution guides requesters step by step through the processes, displays preferred suppliers, and automatically considers company policies. Artificial intelligence plays a supportive role: chatbots assist in searching for products across various catalogs. This is intended to accelerate workflows and serve as an effective means against Maverick Spend, which refers to procurement outside defined processes.
„Our experience in the automotive industry shows us that companies are currently very focused on reducing costs and simplifying specialized and complex workflows,“ explains Bob O’Leary, Senior Vice President Sales Europe at JAGGAER. „We are convinced that our industry expertise and our procurement solutions will help create more transparency in Indirect Spend, improve collaboration with suppliers, and achieve savings as well as higher compliance.“
