Jul 16, 2026 at 12:17 PMDubai Humanitarian sent a fourth aid shipment to Uganda on July 14, 2026, to support ongoing efforts to combat the Ebola outbreak in the region. This shipment, transported by a Dubai Royal Air Wing aircraft, delivered 72.5 tons of humanitarian supplies to Entebbe. The supplies come from the stocks of the World Food Programme (WFP) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which were provided in the storage facilities of Dubai Humanitarian.
The shipment includes water purification tablets to protect the population from waterborne diseases, mobile storage units, and generators to power treatment centers in areas without reliable electricity, as well as tarps to provide shelter for both patients and medical teams. Additionally, data loggers were included to enable health workers to monitor temperature-sensitive vaccines and medications throughout the entire cold chain. A hygiene area was also provided to support the necessary hygiene standards to contain the outbreak.
Giuseppe Saba, CEO and board member of Dubai Humanitarian, emphasized the importance of continuous aid efforts:
“Four air transports demonstrate what consistent leadership and clear visions can achieve. The United Arab Emirates and the Dubai government have ensured that our partners can transport aid when it is needed, and that is exactly what a response to an outbreak like this requires.”
The recent airlift is part of an active year for Dubai Humanitarian, which has already coordinated nine air and land deliveries with over 450 tons of aid since the beginning of 2026. These deliveries, conducted in close collaboration with partners to support the international humanitarian community, have responded to emergencies in Gaza, Lebanon, Mozambique, and Afghanistan.
As a global hub connecting humanitarian organizations with the necessary logistics, storage, and transport capacities, Dubai Humanitarian remains committed to ensuring that aid reaches where and when it is most urgently needed.
