Jul 10, 2026 at 2:09 PMRadia has announced new supplier agreements with Latecoere and Stirling Dynamics to support key aspects of the WindRunner™ aircraft program. These partnerships, announced ahead of the Farnborough International Airshow (July 20-24, 2026), aim to advance the development of the world’s largest cargo aircraft. The two companies bring specialized expertise in system integration, flight control, and electrical architecture, which are critical for the next development phase of the WindRunner program.
Collaboration with Latecoere
Radia and Latecoere have reached an agreement to support the development of the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) for the WindRunner. The French company has extensive experience in developing electrical systems for aircraft as well as in aerostructure and industrialization in commercial and military aviation programs. This collaboration aims to support the development of the aircraft’s electrical architecture and create a robust, scalable system foundation that meets the exceptional requirements of the WindRunner. Sam Marnick, President of Latecoere Americas, commented on the partnership: “WindRunner represents one of the most ambitious aviation development programs currently underway. We are excited to work with Radia and contribute our expertise in integrating electrical systems.”
Integration of flight control with Stirling Dynamics
Additionally, Radia and Stirling Dynamics have reached an agreement to support the integration activities of the flight control system for the WindRunner. The British company will bring its expertise in flight control systems, simulation, and aircraft engineering to support the development of safe and reliable flight operations. Bandula Pathinayake, Vice President of Stirling Dynamics, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “We are pleased to work with Radia to support the development of a truly transformative aircraft platform.”
Strengthening the industrial ecosystem
The new partnerships strengthen the technical and industrial foundation of the WindRunner program, which is moving towards execution. Latecoere and Stirling Dynamics expand a growing global network of over 20 suppliers and technology partners already selected for the WindRunner program. Previously announced partners include companies such as AFuzion, Aciturri, Aernnova, and Leonardo. These organizations bring global expertise in various areas such as aircraft structures, propulsion systems, avionics, and system integration.
The continuous expansion of the industrial platform reflects the growing confidence of the industry in the WindRunner program and lays the groundwork for the development, certification, manufacturing, and ultimately the operation of the world’s largest cargo aircraft. Radia plans to continue selectively choosing partners whose capabilities will accelerate development and strengthen the long-term industrial base.
