This agreement was officially announced recently during a conference on global supply chain development in Shenzhen, China.
Focus on sustainable development and innovation
The signed memorandum of understanding aims to promote exchange in the areas of green technologies, clean energy, and maritime innovation, as stated by the Port of Los Angeles. The agreement stipulates that the involved organizations will regularly exchange best practices and work together on research and demonstration projects. Additionally, a dialogue between the ports will be established to support the development of professionals in the maritime sector and intensify collaboration in maritime logistics. The partnership will also encompass future cooperation in the areas of environmentally friendly port technologies and trade facilitation.
