China Southern leases three “Big Twins” from AerCap
Jul 9, 2026 at 11:09 AMTransFollow has called on the logistics industry to prepare for the upcoming changes brought about by the EU regulation on electronic freight transport (eFTI). This regulation will come into effect on July 9, 2027, and requires authorities in EU member states to accept freight transport information in electronic form, provided it is made available through certified, eFTI-compliant platforms.
According to TransFollow, this regulation offers companies across the entire supply chain the opportunity to enhance their visibility, efficiency, and resilience. The regulation will not only promote the acceptance of digital freight information but also eliminate one of the biggest barriers to digital transformation in freight transport.
Although the eFTI regulation does not mandate digital documentation, TransFollow expects that the acceptance of electronic information by authorities will create an incentive for companies to digitize their processes. TransFollow emphasizes that time is of the essence and companies should adjust their digitization strategies now to benefit from the advantages of the new regulation: „Organizations that start preparing now are best positioned to benefit from improved visibility, efficiency, and collaboration in increasingly complex supply chains,“ said Hans Lip, Chief Operating Officer of TransFollow.
