Jun 30, 2026 at 9:24 AMOlivier Storch has been appointed as the new CEO of Sterne Group. The former Managing Director of CEVA Logistics takes over the leadership of the company, which specializes in premium logistics and night-time transportation. Storch (center) has already actively assumed his position and visited the German branches of Nox NachtExpress, a Sterne subsidiary acquired in 2022, at the end of June.
In a post on LinkedIn, Storch thanked the shareholders and the board for the trust placed in him. He described Sterne as a European market leader in premium transportation, specializing in night-time deliveries, urgent shipments, and complex logistics solutions.
Experience in the logistics industry
Before his appointment as CEO of Sterne, the Frenchman served as Deputy Managing Director at CEVA Logistics for more than three years. His career includes a variety of positions in both the public and private sectors. Storch began his career in 1999 as a financial inspector and was Deputy Director in the office of the Secretary of State for Transport and the Sea, François Goulard, in 2004/2005. He also worked for nearly eight years in key positions at Geodis before being appointed Chief Financial Officer of SNCF Mobilités in 2016. Subsequently, he served as Deputy Managing Director of DPD within the Geopost unit of the La Poste Group.
Storch also commented on the goals he aims to achieve in his new position. He emphasized the importance of tailored and sustainable solutions in the supply chain to provide added value to customers.
Farewell to CEVA Logistics
After several intense years of transformation and development, Storch has now left CEVA Logistics. In an emotional reflection, he thanked his team and the executives, particularly Mathieu Friedberg, for their collective achievements. Under his leadership, the company was able to grow significantly, increase profitability, and enter new markets such as Saudi Arabia, India, and Turkey. Storch highlighted the importance of people in the logistics business and praised the energy and professionalism of his colleagues who contributed to the successes. He feels honored to have worked with so many talented individuals worldwide.
