The company, based in Glasgow, received the accolade on June 23, 2026, in Edinburgh, where entrepreneurs and young businesses were recognized for their innovation and business success.
The jury praised Clarusto Logistics for building a customer-oriented logistics company with an international focus. The early growth, operational efficiency, and potential for scaling the business were particularly highlighted. In their assessment, the judges stated: “Clarusto Logistics stands out for its progress in establishing a customer-oriented logistics company with international ambition.”
The company was founded in 1992 in Saudi Arabia by Raju John and opened its UK branch in Glasgow in 2023. Ramiah Raju John, who leads the UK branch, brings over three decades of experience in freight services across air, sea, and multimodal transport. Today, Clarusto Logistics employs 24 staff worldwide and supports customers on five continents through a growing network of offices and logistics partners.
Expansion and new operations in China
Recently, Clarusto Logistics expanded its international network by opening a new operational site in Wuhan, China. This move reflects the increasing importance of air freight and international coordination to support customers‘ supply chains. As a regional winner, Clarusto Logistics Scotland will now represent at the UK StartUp Awards National Final, taking place in September as part of the Ideas Fest in Tring, Hertfordshire. There, the company will compete against regional winners from across Great Britain for the national title.
Ramiah John, founder of Clarusto Logistics UK, commented on the award:
“Winning this award is a proud moment for our team in Glasgow and for everyone who has supported Clarusto Logistics on this journey. Our customers return to us because they know we deliver with care, reliability, and consistency. This recognition means a lot to us, and as we continue to establish ourselves in the sector, we are determined to improve even further.”
The jury acknowledged Clarusto Logistics‘ international growth strategy, customer-oriented approach, and commitment to building a scalable logistics company for global markets. Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, founder of the UK StartUp Awards, emphasized that this year’s winners demonstrate the strength, ambition, and innovation of the British startup economy.
He stated: “All winners clearly show why the British startup economy remains so exciting. They are not only developing clever ideas but also building companies with real purpose, commercial credibility, and the potential for scaling.” The UK StartUp Awards were established by Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE as part of the Ideas Community to recognize outstanding new businesses that have identified opportunities, taken risks, and developed innovative products and services.
