Qatar Airways restores 85 percent of its network
Jun 19, 2026 at 7:49 AMThe Port of Antwerp-Bruges is now the first purely maritime member of Pharma.Aero, a global community founded ten years ago that specializes in healthcare logistics. This membership represents a significant step in the development of Pharma.Aero, which aims to map the entire network of healthcare logistics. Given the increasing multimodality in healthcare supply chains, closer collaboration between air, sea, and land transport as well as logistics actors is deemed necessary to create integrated, resilient, and future-oriented supply chains.
Expansion of collaboration in healthcare logistics
The Belgian dual port is among the leading seaports worldwide and plays a central role as Europe’s gateway for the logistics of pharmaceutical products. The port’s expertise in sea transport, cold chain operations, and multimodal supply chain connectivity is considered valuable for the community. Through this membership, the Pharma.Aero platform is expanded, creating new opportunities for knowledge exchange, innovations, and the development of best practices in the transport of medicines, biopharmaceutical products, medical devices, and advanced therapies.
Pharma.Aero plans to promote collaboration through various projects, educational initiatives, and dialogue within the industry to advance multimodal healthcare logistics globally.
