This facility is designed to assist companies in the logistics, fulfillment, and manufacturing sectors in overcoming challenges, testing new ideas, and developing workplace solutions, as stated by the company.
According to Southgate Global, the innovation lab is part of an investment of over £250,000 in product development, prototyping, and operational innovation. It represents Southgate’s first in-house capacity for small batch and prototype manufacturing. With this initiative, the company responds to the growing demands of its customers, who are facing rising labor costs and increased expectations.
The innovation lab is intended to serve as a hub for product development, manufacturing, and testing opportunities. Southgate plans to leverage this facility to promote the development of devices and solutions aimed at increasing productivity and reducing operational costs. Additionally, the lab is expected to help support safer and more sustainable working practices.
